Legal
This page contains the legal terms that govern your use of DICE services and software, including the End User License Agreement (EULA), Terms of Service (TOS), Pre-Order Terms, and the Refund & Right of Withdrawal Policy. If you do not agree, do not use DICE.
Key Points
- General-purpose platform: DICE is an object detection and automation platform for research, accessibility, robotics, and experimentation.
- Prohibited gaming/competition use: You may not use DICE to automate gameplay, gain competitive advantage, or violate third-party terms.
- User responsibility: You are responsible for your models, configurations, integrations, and all outcomes, including bans or enforcement actions.
- Community support: Support is primarily provided through community channels on a best-effort basis; no guaranteed response times.
- Refunds: You have a 14-day cancellation window in many cases. Once you activate/redeem a license key or otherwise start digital delivery, the withdrawal right can expire where legally permitted.
- Mandatory rights: Nothing here removes rights that cannot legally be excluded (e.g., consumer rights, product liability, intent/gross negligence).
End User License Agreement (EULA)
This End User License Agreement (“Agreement” or “EULA”) is a legally binding contract between you (“User”, “you”) and the Provider governing your installation, access to, and use of DICE software, firmware, documentation, and related services (collectively, “DICE” or the “Software”).
1. Definitions
- “Consumer” means a natural person acting for purposes that are predominantly outside their trade, business, or profession (e.g., German law: § 13 BGB).
- “Business Customer” means a natural or legal person acting in the exercise of a trade, business, or profession (e.g., German law: § 14 BGB).
- “Digital Content / Digital Services” may include software, updates, downloadable files, license keys, and online services.
- “Model” means any user-supplied or third-party ML/AI model, configuration, weights file, or detection profile loaded into DICE.
- “Community Support” means support provided through community channels (for example, community chat servers, forums, or knowledge bases), typically on a volunteer or best-effort basis.
2. License Grant
Subject to your compliance with this Agreement, the Provider grants you a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable license to install and use DICE for lawful purposes in accordance with the documentation and the intended use described herein.
3. Intended Use
DICE is intended for general-purpose, non-gaming applications such as:
- Computer vision research and experimentation
- Object detection and classification workflows
- Automation and assistive workflows (e.g., accessibility)
- Robotics and camera-based control systems
- Human-computer interaction prototyping
4. Prohibited Use (Strict)
You may not use DICE in any manner that:
- Automates gameplay or provides an unfair advantage in online games or competitive environments
- Violates the terms of service, end user agreements, rules, or policies of third-party software or services
- Bypasses, circumvents, disables, or interferes with security, anti-cheat, integrity, or access-control mechanisms
- Infringes intellectual property rights or misuses third-party trademarks, branding, or content
- Is unlawful, fraudulent, deceptive, or otherwise abusive
- Involves malware, spyware, credential theft, or unauthorized surveillance
Any prohibited use is a material breach and may result in immediate suspension or termination without notice.
5. Models, Configurations, and User Responsibility
DICE may allow you to load or use Models and configurations. You are solely responsible for:
- All Models you load, create, train, share, or obtain
- All configurations, integrations, and workflows you set up
- Ensuring you have the rights and permissions to use any Model or data
- All outcomes and consequences of your use, including third-party enforcement actions (e.g., bans, restrictions, takedowns)
The Provider does not provide or endorse any game-specific Models or configurations and does not support the use of DICE for prohibited purposes.
6. Community Support; No Guaranteed Service Levels
Unless you have a separate written support agreement, support is provided primarily through Community Support channels on a best-effort basis. The Provider does not guarantee response times, resolution times, feature availability, or continuous service.
7. Updates; Changes; Compatibility
The Provider may deliver updates, patches, and changes. Updates may be required for security, reliability, and legal compliance. DICE may change, add, or remove features. Compatibility with third-party software and hardware may change at any time.
For Consumers in the EU/EEA/UK, mandatory statutory rules for digital products may require the Provider to supply certain updates and maintain conformity for a legally required period. Where such rules apply, nothing in this Agreement limits those statutory rights.
8. Intellectual Property
DICE and all related intellectual property rights are owned by the Provider or its licensors. You receive only the license rights expressly granted above. You may not copy, sell, rent, lease, sublicense, or distribute DICE except as expressly permitted in writing by the Provider.
9. Restrictions; Reverse Engineering
You may not reverse engineer, decompile, disassemble, modify, or create derivative works of DICE except to the extent such restrictions are prohibited by mandatory law. You may not attempt to discover source code, bypass license checks, or remove or alter proprietary notices.
10. Disclaimer of Warranties
To the maximum extent permitted by law, DICE is provided “AS IS” and “AS AVAILABLE” without warranties of any kind, whether express, implied, or statutory. The Provider disclaims implied warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, and non-infringement.
Consumer note: If you are a Consumer, mandatory statutory warranty and defect rights may apply and cannot be excluded.
11. Limitation of Liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law, the Provider is not liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or for loss of profits, revenue, data, goodwill, or business opportunities.
Nothing in this Agreement limits liability for:
- Intent (willful misconduct) or gross negligence
- Injury to life, body, or health
- Mandatory product liability
- Fraudulent concealment of a defect
- Other liability that cannot be limited under applicable law
12. Indemnification
To the extent permitted by law, you agree to defend, indemnify, and hold harmless the Provider from claims, damages, losses, and expenses (including reasonable legal fees) arising from your misuse of DICE, your Models, your violation of third-party terms, or your breach of this Agreement.
13. Termination
This Agreement is effective until terminated. The Provider may suspend or terminate your access if you breach this Agreement or if the Provider reasonably believes your use creates legal, security, or operational risk. Upon termination, you must cease using DICE.
14. Governing Law; Jurisdiction
This Agreement is governed by the laws of the Federal Republic of Germany. For Consumers, mandatory consumer protection laws and mandatory venue rules may apply and are not excluded.
15. Changes to this Agreement
The Provider may update this Agreement from time to time. Material changes will be communicated in a reasonable manner (for example, by posting on the website or in-app notice). Continued use of DICE after changes become effective constitutes acceptance.

Terms of Service (TOS)
These Terms of Service (“Terms”) govern your access to and use of the DICE website, accounts, community channels, and related services (“Services”). If you purchase or use DICE software, the EULA also applies. If there is a conflict, the EULA controls for software use and these Terms control for Services.
1. Eligibility; Accounts
You must provide accurate information when registering. You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your login credentials and for all activity under your account. The Provider may refuse, suspend, or terminate accounts that violate these Terms or applicable law.
2. Acceptable Use
You agree not to use the Services to:
- Engage in prohibited uses described in the EULA
- Share or request game-specific configurations, Models, or instructions that enable prohibited use
- Harass, threaten, defame, or abuse other users
- Distribute malware, exploits, or harmful content
- Attempt unauthorized access to systems or data
- Infringe intellectual property rights
3. Community Content
Users may post content in community channels (“User Content”). You remain responsible for your User Content. The Provider may moderate, remove, restrict, or delete User Content for any reason, including compliance and safety.
4. Community Support Disclaimer
Unless expressly stated otherwise in writing, support is provided primarily through community channels and does not constitute professional, contracted, or guaranteed support services. The Provider does not guarantee response times, outcomes, or availability of community staff or moderators.
5. Payments; Taxes; Fees
If you purchase digital content, you agree to pay the displayed price plus any applicable taxes and fees. Payment processing may be performed by third-party payment providers. The Provider does not store full payment card details.
6. Service Changes; Availability
The Provider may modify or discontinue all or part of the Services at any time. The Provider may impose reasonable limits to prevent abuse, fraud, or operational disruption.
7. Third-Party Services
The Services may link to or integrate with third-party services. The Provider is not responsible for third-party services, their content, or their actions. Your use of third-party services is governed by their terms.
8. Disclaimer; Limitation of Liability
The Services are provided “AS IS” and “AS AVAILABLE”. Liability limitations and carve-outs in the EULA apply similarly to the Services, to the maximum extent permitted by law.
9. Termination
The Provider may suspend or terminate your access for violations, legal risk, security reasons, or abuse. Termination may include revoking access to community channels and Services.
10. Governing Law
These Terms are governed by German law, with mandatory consumer protections preserved where applicable.
Pre-Order Terms
These Pre-Order Terms apply if you place a pre-order for DICE digital products (“Pre-Order”). A Pre-Order grants you access to a future release or early access version once available. Your purchase is also subject to the EULA, the Terms of Service, and the Refund & Right of Withdrawal Policy.
1. Early Access / Development Status
Pre-Order versions may be experimental, incomplete, or changed substantially before final release. Features may be added, modified, or removed. Screenshots, marketing text, and roadmaps are illustrative and do not constitute guarantees.
2. Estimated Availability; No Guaranteed Release Date
Any release date or timeline shown is an estimate. The Provider does not guarantee a specific delivery date and is not liable for delays.
3. Digital Delivery
Delivery may occur via account access, a license key, download access, or other digital means. The Provider may require additional confirmations before activation (for example, to ensure compliance with the withdrawal policy and anti-abuse controls).
4. Pre-Order Cancellation
Pre-Orders may be cancelled and refunded only as described in the Refund & Right of Withdrawal Policy and only if the legal conditions are met (for example, if the license key has not been activated/redeemed and digital delivery has not started).
5. Fraud Prevention; One-Account Rule
To prevent abuse, purchases may be tied to a single account and may be subject to fraud checks. Creating multiple accounts to repeatedly purchase and refund is prohibited.
6. Provider Right to Refuse or Cancel
The Provider may refuse, suspend, or cancel a Pre-Order if required by law, payment provider policies, security needs, or suspected misuse. In such cases, eligible refunds will be processed according to the Refund Policy.
Refund & Right of Withdrawal Policy
This policy explains (a) statutory withdrawal rights that may apply to Consumers (especially in the EU/EEA/UK) and (b) the Provider’s voluntary refund rules where statutory rights do not apply. Mandatory consumer rights are not excluded.
1. Scope
This policy applies to digital products and digital services delivered by DICE, including account access, license keys, downloads, and early access releases.
2. EU/EEA/UK Consumers: Statutory 14-Day Right of Withdrawal
If you are a Consumer in the EU/EEA/UK and you purchase via distance selling (online), you generally have the right to withdraw from the contract within 14 days without giving any reason, unless an exception applies.
The withdrawal period begins on the day the contract is concluded (for digital content/services).
3. Early Expiry of the Right of Withdrawal for Digital Content
Where legally permitted for digital content not delivered on a physical medium, the right of withdrawal can expire early once performance begins, if (i) you have expressly consented to the start of performance before the end of the withdrawal period and (ii) you have acknowledged that you lose your right of withdrawal once performance begins.
For DICE, “performance begins” when you activate/redeem a license key, click an “Activate/Reveal Key” action, download/access the digital content, or otherwise gain usable access to the product. The Provider may technically delay activation until you provide the required confirmations.
4. Required Confirmations (Activation / Immediate Digital Delivery)
To ensure legal compliance for digital content, DICE may require you to actively confirm specific statements before a license key is revealed or activation is completed. In particular, EU/EEA/UK Consumers may be required to provide:
- Consent to start performance: “I request immediate provision of digital content/services.”
- Acknowledgement of withdrawal loss: “I acknowledge that I lose my right of withdrawal once performance begins (e.g., upon activation/redeem/access).”
- Acceptance of contract terms: “I accept the EULA, Terms of Service, and Refund & Right of Withdrawal Policy.”
If you do not provide these confirmations, DICE may delay activation/delivery until the withdrawal period has expired, or may provide delivery in a manner that preserves your withdrawal rights.
5. Voluntary 14-Day Refund Policy (Outside the EU/EEA/UK or Where Statutory Rights Do Not Apply)
Where statutory withdrawal rights do not apply, the Provider offers a voluntary 14-day refund policy under the same conditions: refunds are available within 14 days from purchase only if digital delivery has not started and the license key has not been activated/redeemed.
This voluntary policy does not create additional rights beyond mandatory law and may be limited to prevent fraud or abuse.
6. How to Exercise Withdrawal / Request a Refund
To withdraw or request a refund, contact the Provider at: [INSERT WITHDRAWAL EMAIL] and include your order ID, account email, purchase date, and a clear statement that you wish to withdraw/cancel.
7. Refund Method; Timing
Eligible refunds are returned to the original payment method where possible. Processing times may vary depending on payment provider and bank.
8. Anti-Abuse Rules
- Refunds are not available after activation/redeem/access delivery (except mandatory law).
- Repeated refunds, chargeback abuse, or multi-account refund cycles may result in account suspension and denial of future purchases.
- If a refund is granted, any associated license/access may be revoked.
9. Sample Withdrawal Statement
“I hereby withdraw from the contract for the purchase of DICE digital content/services, order ID [____], purchased on [____], account email [____].”
10. Mandatory Rights
Nothing in this policy limits mandatory statutory rights that cannot be excluded. If mandatory law requires a different treatment in your jurisdiction, that mandatory law controls.
Community Support & Moderation
1. Community Support Model
DICE support is primarily delivered as Community Support. Community Support may include community chat servers, community documentation, volunteer moderators, and peer-to-peer help. Unless you have a separate written agreement, Community Support is provided on a best-effort basis without guaranteed response times.
2. No Professional Services
Community Support does not constitute professional consulting, engineering, legal, or compliance services. Any information shared by community members is informational and you remain responsible for your own decisions and configurations.
3. Moderation; Enforcement
The Provider may moderate community channels. Content that relates to prohibited use (including prohibited gaming/competitive usage) may be removed, and accounts may be restricted to protect legal compliance and user safety.
Intellectual Property & Copyright
1. DICE Materials
DICE branding, software, UI, documentation, and website content are protected by intellectual property laws. You may not copy, reuse, or redistribute DICE materials except as permitted by law or by written permission.
2. Third-Party Materials
Third-party trademarks, names, and logos are the property of their respective owners. Any reference is for identification only and does not imply affiliation. Users are responsible for ensuring they have rights to any third-party assets they upload or publish in community channels.
3. Copyright Complaints
If you believe content on DICE infringes your rights, contact the Provider at: [INSERT COPYRIGHT EMAIL] and include sufficient information to locate the content and verify your claim.
